DraftKings Expands Crypto-to-Cash Deposits to Four U.S. States
DraftKings has secured regulatory approval to introduce crypto-to-cash deposits for sports betting accounts in Illinois, Kentucky, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The decision was confirmed during a Massachusetts Gaming Commission meeting, though Massachusetts itself recently banned such deposits following a rule change effective December 2025.
The MOVE signals incremental progress for crypto adoption in regulated gambling markets. Wyoming pioneered crypto wagering in 2021, with Colorado and Virginia later permitting converted crypto deposits. DraftKings' expansion comes as digital assets gain tentative footholds in state-regulated betting despite broader hesitancy among gaming commissions.
